The role includes but is not limited to:Preparing drawings, plans and designs for mechanical engineering work under the direction of Mechanical Engineers.Conducting root cause analysis, fault-finding and diagnosing efficient solutions to machine breakdowns.Installing, removing, inspecting and repairing mechanical spare parts like bearings and seals on typical mechanical equipment.Performing major overhaul of equipment with or without external contractors and vendors.Disassembling, assembling, observing, repairing, testing, collecting data and preparing reports on equipment, as tasks related to maintenance.Maintaining non-electrical safety, process and utility equipment.Performing power plant rigging, and lifting equipment necessary for safely handling heavy machinery and materials.Advising and assisting engineering and scientific professional staff in the design of advanced and complex mechanical equipment or systems.Troubleshooting process equipment and automation issues that may arise at the manufacturing line.Ensuring that products meet compliance regulations.Troubleshooting mechanical issues.Carrying out work instructions as given by Supervisor, work specifications, equipment operation.Supporting improvement projects.Fabricating and repairing parts by using machine shop tools and equipment.Controlling downtime by performing routine preventative maintenance requirements, daily equipment inspections, and monitoring machine operational performance.Performing duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures.Installing and commissioning new equipment as directed.Understanding customer change requests and providing schedules.To be successful, you will have the following:Be trade qualified.Be able to read and understand technical drawings.Strong communication skills.Must be able to work in a highly motivated team environment.Good time management skills and a strong sense of initiative.Committed to a safe working environment: Work Health & Safety (WHS).Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable.Other duties as may arise from time to time and as may be assigned by supervisor.If you possess the skills required for this role and feel this is the job for you, then apply now!Salary: Between $70,000 and $75,000 per annum + Super
