An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and dynamic educator to join the leadership team as a Head of Department Teaching and Learning (Humanities) at Goondiwindi State High School.
The HOD role will lead and manage the activities of students and teachers, in line with the school's Vision and Values. Working as a member of the school's Leadership and Management Team, you will improve the educational outcomes of students in the school by facilitating quality teaching and learning and nurturing positive relationships.

About the Role
As the HOD you will be responsible for student management of a Year Level, including enrolment, behaviour management, and student welfare support, and lead the delivery of all humanities subjects from Year 7 - 12.
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students. Embed socially just practices in daily school life. Set high standards for student and staff performance. Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development. Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups. Be futures-oriented and strategic.
