Selection CriteriaMust be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent (NB applicant's race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised by Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, NSW) and have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures with established links with the local Aboriginal community.Tertiary qualification Bachelor Health Science (Mental Health), or qualifications and current registration with AHPRA for Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers for Social Workers.Demonstrated ability to provide high quality, safe and connected care to consumers and their families and carers in a person-centred and holistic manner that promotes self-determination and in context of the principles of mental health rehabilitation, recovery framework and a strengths based approach.Demonstrated high level communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with consumers, their families and carers and other stakeholders.High level computer skills including accuracy and demonstrated knowledge of Electronic Medical Record Programs, Microsoft Office Programs including Skype for business.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Mental Health & Alcohol and Other Drugs strategic directions in service provision, including those related to Aboriginal People and their communities.Knowledge and understanding of the legislation and policies relating to Mental Health care provision, including the Mental Health Act 2007.Current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires.
