United Wambo Joint Venture (UWJV) is an Open Cut coal mine located 16 kilometres west of Singleton in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales. UWJV 50:50 joint venture between United Collieries (Glencore and MEU) and Wambo Coal (Peabody). We commenced operation in 2020 and we are forecast to produce up to 10 million tonnes per annum of saleable thermal and semi-soft metallurgical coal until 2042. In 2022, UWJV was awarded NSW Mining 'Operation of the Year' An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Human Resources Officer to join our energetic and service focused team. As a valued member of the Human Resources team and reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for: Providing efficient and effective HR services and support. Recruitment and onboarding of new employees. Providing support in the management and resolution of workplace and disciplinary issues. Coordinating employee performance reviews and development plans. Supporting site payroll process. Working closely with the HR Manager to deliver UWJV’s People and Culture strategy. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and/or relevant knowledge and experience in the Human Resources field. Strong communications skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Highly organised and solutions focused. Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines and plan ahead. Commitment to continued learning and professional development.
