Coogee Common is a beautiful restaurant in the fully refurbished Coogee Hotel, with a strong focus on a garden to plate philosophy. Boasting an expansive on-site garden which provides us with a unique opportunity to have a hands-on experience with our daily produce. We are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
We are looking for chef de parties, who is enthusiastic and passionate about food and shows a strong willingness to learn all things cooking and produce related. As a chef at Coogee Common you will rotate through the kitchen. we are looking for the right candidate who wants to take their career to the next level. You will have the opportunity to learn firsthand garden to plate. The position will report directly to the Head Chef and Sous Chefs, working to support the creation, implementation and development of menu items.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
ability to run all sections in the kitchen.
a strong eye for detail and the maintenance of standards
manage junior members of the team.
ordering and general paperwork
