Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Engineering) Fluid Management Technology (FMT) is a dynamic technology company that currently operates in the commercial fuel market. Based in Beverley, SA, and with a sales operation in the USA, the company produces high-quality products for Australian and international customers. Due to continued growth, we are seeking to employ a full time, Senior Electronics Engineer. The role is on-site in our Beverley office and will report to the Hardware Team Leader. The role is varied, mainly focusing on designing and developing a range of EV chargers. Key Responsibilities Design electronic units and/or systems incorporating low level analogue, digital, high speed, and multi-core 32-bit microcontroller circuitry. Generate detailed electronic design schematics and supporting PCB design layouts. Ensure project documentation is correctly managed, maintained and released in accordance with company processes and procedures. Support the delivery of unit and system FMEA and other electronics design validation activities. Lead prototype builds and provide electronic support for system test and integration. Support product development through full design lifecycle to fully validated and production ready maturation levels. Minimum 5 years' experience in working with Digital and analogue electronics. Appreciation of embedded programming. Familiar with UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, USB and Ethernet. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with SPICE simulators. PCB layout experience up to 4 layers. Ideal (not essential) Experience in IPC standard is desirable. Knowledgeable in Design for manufacturing and Design for testing is desirable. Experience in designing systems to meet EMC compliance. Working with High-voltage systems (48V+) and high current systems is desirable. Working experience with Electrical systems i.e. MCCB/RCD is desirable. The Senior Electronics Engineer will have: 3 years relevant industry experience in Electric Vehicles, Automotive, Motorsport or Aerospace product development is desirable. Electronic hardware design from concept to delivery, with a good understanding of electronic design requirements. A high level of proficiency in English and a strong, proactive work ethic are essential. Experience in the EV industry would be highly regarded.
