They are now looking for a Fleet Manager to join their knowledgeable and professional team.
The Role Working in stunning Rushcutters Bay, as Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fleet operations, maintenance, and client satisfaction for the Rushcutters Bay fleet. This role involves managing staff, ensuring all vessels are kept in excellent condition, and maintaining strong relationships with owners. You will also be responsible for arranging boat movements, coordinating skippers and hostesses, and providing training. You will use your excellent communication skills, your problem-solving ability, and your proven experience in marine operations, customer service, and team leadership to make a positive impact on the overall customer experience.
Duties Fleet Operations Management Oversee daily operations of the fleet, including scheduling, vessel availability, and ensuring vessels meet operational standards. Coordinate staff schedules and rosters. Ensure all vessels comply with relevant marine regulations and company policies. Vessel Maintenance & Safety Schedule and manage routine and preventative maintenance to ensure all vessels remain in top condition. Coordinate major repair and capital improvement projects, including overseeing vendor relationships and project timelines. Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain updated documentation on vessel safety requirements and certifications. Owner Relations & Customer Service Act as the primary point of contact for owners, addressing enquiries, concerns, and scheduling requests. Ensure owner satisfaction through proactive communication, addressing any operational issues promptly. Assist with owner orientations and events, fostering a sense of community among the owners. Team Leadership & Staff Coordination Lead and manage the Rushcutters Bay crew, including skippers, deckhands, and support staff, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism. Conduct training and development programs to keep staff informed of safety protocols, customer service expectations, and operational procedures. Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance management of fleet staff. Budgeting & Reporting Manage the Rushcutters Bay fleet budget, including tracking expenses, planning for maintenance costs, and preparing budget reports. Track fleet performance metrics, prepare monthly reports on fleet status, and make recommendations to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Skills and Experience Proven experience in fleet management, marine operations, or a similar role within the maritime or hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of vessel maintenance, safety regulations, and crew management. Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with experience working directly with high-net-worth clients. Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of managing teams and working collaboratively. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with an eye for detail. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required. Relevant maritime certifications, including an Australian boat licence or higher.
