About the role New service. New team. New approach.
You're invited to take a lead role.
Head to Health Kids Hub is a new community-based service providing mental health and wellbeing support for children up to the age of 12 years.
We'll be delivering a service that provides care navigation and tailored support, and specialist assessment and treatment for children and their families with mild to moderate emotional, behaviour and mental health challenges.
Located in Orange with satellite services in Bathurst, we'll be using flexible and creative approaches to increase the well-being and functioning of our clients, providing support from the hub, in the community, virtually, and in the home.
You'll use the full range of your clinical and assessment skills, in a solution-focused team that thrives on the challenge of delivering services and establishing new approaches to meeting the needs of our children and community.
You'll be joining an experienced and skilled multidisciplinary team, who share similar goals, and who'll support and work collaboratively with you.
You'll be delivering the best outcomes for local children and families, building their capacity, their wellbeing, and improving their future.
As a Senior Mental Health Clinician at Head to Health Kids, you'll play a core role in completing multidisciplinary assessments, case formulation, and collaborative treatment planning and delivery to children (0-12 years) experiencing mild to moderate mental health and wellbeing challenges. You'll take a child-centred approach but will extend your scope to focus on the families and carers of our clients to contribute a truly holistic health service in our community.
You'll use your clinical and cultural skills to complete detailed assessments, case formulation and deliver treatment programs for a range of behavioural, emotional, psychosocial and health problems, prioritising our Aboriginal clients and their families.
You'll provide perspective and guidance to the multidisciplinary team to help ensure that our practice is culturally responsive and safe, and play an active role in coordinating services for our Aboriginal clients within the Hub and with external service providers.
You'll have the benefit of working within an environment of flexible practice and adaptive service delivery with an experienced multidisciplinary team including allied health, nursing and medical staff, which will allow you to utilise the extended resources of a Hub-based service, adding to the scope of the support you'll receive and be able to provide.
You'll work closely with a range of internal and external care providers and partner organisations across health, education, social services, Aboriginal health, and disability sectors to ensure continuity of care for our clients and build capacity for service delivery for children in our community, which will make full use of your communication and clinical skills.
At Head to Health Kids Hub you'll be providing high-quality clinical services, and will also contribute to shaping the future direction of a new and dynamic service, and building capacity within the Hub and in the community to enhance supports for children and families.
