The Role We currently have an exciting and varied opportunity for a Trust & Finance Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis. This role has flexibility to be based in either our Brisbane or Sydney office. Reporting to the National Trust Compliance Manager, this role will be responsible for providing Trust Accounting compliance and accounts support. This role will also see you maintaining core system data, ensuring compliance of risk management protocols. Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include the following: Daily bank reconciliation Daily trust receipting and trust payments (settlement EFT’s and cheques) Management of trust transfers Maintain and complete trust transit register forms Management of controlled monies accounts Management and completion of monthly trust compliance reports Management of the National Trust mailbox General back-up and assistance for all areas of general ledger accounting General receipting Ad hoc requests as required Skills & Experience To be successful in this role you will have: An understanding of Trust accounting rules and legislative requirements At least 2+ years of proven experience in a professional services environment (preferably legal) Experience handling high volume transactions with great accuracy and diligence Experience using a Practice Management System (Aderant Expert advantageous) Highly developed organisational skills with strong attention to detail Highly capable of managing and prioritising high volume work load, especially during month end Strong communication skills demonstrated through the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders of varying seniority Intermediate MS Excel (desirable) and competent with other Microsoft Office applications The Finance Team As a key part of our Shared Services function, the Finance team is a professional, motivated and focused team delivering sound financial advice and flexible, practical financial administration service to all areas of the firm.
