We believe in fairness and choose to be honest, transparent and authentic in everything we do.Key Responsibilities: Liaise with customers and internal teams on minerals processing development, testing, and innovationSupport the development, running, reporting, and interpretation of CFD, DEM and other simulations and results.Effective communication of recommendations on improved equipment design and operation based on findingsSupport of Weir Technology Centers, including the Venlo Test Center (Netherlands) and the Weir Technical Centre (Melbourne) to align physical and simulation results and leverage these to enhance product performancePresent results to customers and internal stakeholders.Leverage simulation results and insight into improvements in minerals processing equipment design.Collaborate with product managers, product specialists, engineering and technology groups and other stakeholders.Support lab test procedures, experimental design, and analysis of results.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Master's in Engineering – Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering (minerals processing) or related disciplinePhD in minerals processing or related field is desired.Chartered registered engineer is desired.At least 10 - 15 years' equivalent work experience in similar role in mineral processing equipment and systems.Background and experience in computational modelling (CFD, DEM, and other simulations) with a proven ability to carry out simulations on minerals processing equipment and systems or similar.Demonstrable experience in innovation, or able to demonstrate innovative thinking.Founded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
