Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive environment.
2. Develop seasonal menus that reflect our commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients.
3. Maintain high standards of food presentation, flavour, and consistency.
4. Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stock rotation.
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
6. Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting growth and teamwork.
7. Collaborate with management to enhance our food offerings and introduce new dishes.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role in a fast-paced kitchen.
2. Strong knowledge of culinary trends, techniques, and kitchen operations.
3. Ability to create innovative and exciting dishes that align with our cafe’s style.
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
5. Passion for sustainable and local sourcing of ingredients.
6. Food safety certification is a plus.
