The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools.
We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years by developing and implementing: * Victorian Early Learning and Development Framework 0-8 (VELDF 0-8) * Victorian Curriculum F - 10 * Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) * Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) * Vocational Education and Training (VET) * and implementing the National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) test.
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Assessment and Reporting Division in the Student Records and Results Unit for an ongoing full-time position.
* Salary: $109,730 - $132,764 (Plus Superannuation of 11.5%) * Ongoing role * Usual hours of work: Full time (flexible work conditions maybe/are available) * Usual work location: East Melbourne About the RoleThe Senior Advisor leads the Program Structure and Data Quality (PSDQ) and VASS Operations team, providing business continuity for whole organisation projects.
The role also supports the work of the Student Records and Results unit in relation to their core business objectives which include: * Data analysis to inform business planning, continuity and best practice quality assurance; * The provision of system support to users of the Victorian Assessment Software System (VASS) and the Joint Results Service (JRS); and * Supporting the implementation of project deliverables.As a member of the Student Records and Results leadership team, the Senior Advisor works to build a strong, collaborative culture across operations and projects to ensure deliverables are met and interactions with stakeholders, colleagues, and the public are positive and effective.Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Leadership of the PSDQ and VASS Operations teams including oversight of the workplan and annual performance review cycle * The management of the senior secondary provider, enrolments, results, and program data.
* Supporting senior secondary results processing cycles.
* Providing stakeholder information and professional development, including developing training materials.
* Coordinating User Acceptance and program testing to ensure business continuity.

About the DivisionResponsibilities of the Assessment and Reporting Division include: * the delivery and reporting of all VCE examinations, the National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) tests, On Demand testing, the General Achievement Test (GAT), and Education State Target Assessments * the marking of all VCE examinations, including written, performance and Languages oral examinations * managing the quality assurance and statistical moderation programs for VCE school-based assessments * collecting, maintaining, and processing student enrolment data and assessment results for VCE and VPC * issuing VCE and VPC certification to students under delegation from the VRQA * providing technical and professional support for assessment and reporting matters to the VCAA Board, internal and external stakeholders.
