Shape the future of rail transportCareer advancement and development opportunitiesPermanent fulltime role, located in Hamilton NorthUGL's Manufacturing & Maintenance - Transport business is experiencing increased growth within our locomotive and rolling stock division based at our operation in Hamilton North, NSW. We are on the search for an experienced and high-performing Maintenance Planner to join our dynamic team!
About Your Role: As the Maintenance Planner, your role is to develop, establish, and monitor rolling stock maintenance schedules that ensure the effective use of labour, equipment, tools, and plant, minimising the cost of maintenance and unavailability of rolling stock. You will support with coordinating all maintenance schedules with inventory, finished goods, and project requirements.
Key responsibilities will include: Analyse maintenance plans, contracts, engineering, and other information to estimate time spans for the processing of materials, parts, and tools to meet contractual delivery requirements.Develop draft maintenance schedules and coordinate final schedules and approval with the operations manager, planning manager, contract & services manager, service engineer, service manager & supervisors, and other interested parties.Coordinate the planned work with workshop supervisors during the maintenance event.Ensure correct close out of maintenance packages after the event.About You: Extensive experience in a maintenance engineering environment, with some planning exposure.Proficient in the operation of SAP.Experience with a planning software system, i.e., Primavera/MS Project, and demonstrate a methodical approach to planning.A strong understanding of manufacturing principles and standards.Experience gained in the rail, automotive, military, Defence, avionics, or any other safety-critical environment.Customer-focused, team-oriented, accountable, and results-driven.Must be energetic with a positive 'can-do' attitude.Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn, and put to use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing structure, process, information, and/or technology.About UGL: UGL is a well-known and respected for providing end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services within rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence markets.
