About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Coordinator to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our Kwinana Pigment Plant.
This role is offered on a permanent, full time basis working a compressed 9 day fortnight roster.
Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day operational direction to achieve required plant targets and maintenance schedule compliance.
Coordinates activities for operations and maintenance by setting priorities for each of these teams daily to achieve weekly KPI's.
Communicates and directs to reschedule tasks where conflicts arise preventing scheduled execution in the current plan.
Works with Operations (Senior Coordinator, Scheduler, Dayshift Supervisor) and Maintenance (Coordinator, Planner, Supervisor) to optimize the efficiency of maintenance work.
Review daily/weekly/monthly schedule attainment for continuous improvement purposes.
Assist Shutdown Coordinator in shutdown preparation.
Compliance to operation execution and review process.
Gatekeeper for work requests to Maintenance Department.
Authority regarding urgency and approval of "Schedule Break" work (P1/P2) with due consideration of costs versus benefit.
Providing input into 5-weekly schedule and shutdown planning process.
Providing input into the yearly production budget and monthly outlook.
To be eligible, you must have Proven experience in a production coordinator role, preferably in a chemical or manufacturing environment.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in using production management software and tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
