Currently seeking for two (2) Events and Community Engagement Officer to join their busy team for a casual 12-months temporary assignment.
About the Role As an Events and Community Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for managing events and activities logistics for all Agency engagement with various stakeholders and the disability community.
In addition, your key duties are as follows: Educate, inform, and liaise with mainstream services to improve participant experience and increase participant social and economic participation.
Maintain local relationships with relevant key stakeholders to support effective engagement.
Work as part of a high performing team to effectively engage with people with disability, their families and carers using a nationally consistent engagement approach.
Represent the Agency at external forums and events, providing information and guidance to people with disability, NDIS participants and the wider community.
Deliver clear, concise and effective messaging to people with disability, their families and carers as well as other community and mainstream stakeholders.
Manage the state/territory engagement inbox, acting as a point of escalation for the triaging of enquiries and requests About You To be successful in this role, you must have: Previous experience in a Community Engagement, Events Management, or similar role Background in disability, social services, or public sector is highly regarded Ability to support event coordination of face-to-face, virtual and hybrid events Ability to coordinate meetings and workshops as well as manage budgets and payments Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Benefits ASAP Start Date pending clearance Casual 12-months Temporary Assignment Full-time hours, Monday to Friday $55.24 per hour + super Geelong, VIC location *** Please note the successful candidate for the role must hold Australian Citizenship and be willing to complete federal police check ** At Chandler Macleod, we are committed to fostering a diverse workforce where everyone is welcome.
