About the facility The Barwon Health Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 24-bed ICU, providing tertiary critical care services to the Barwon South Western region.
The ICU cares for medical, surgical, and cardiothoracic adults, as well as collaborative programs to care for adult ECMO and critically ill children.
The ICU is actively involved in clinical research, critical care education for Deakin School of Medicine, and education and training of junior doctors and nurses.
An exciting opportunity to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Clinical Nursing (ICU), in affiliation with Deakin University.
The successful applicants will have experience in either an acute medical, surgical or critical care area, excellent communication skills and a motivation to continued professional development.
Successful applicants will be supported with our well-established structured program.
Graduates will develop the advanced clinical skills and knowledge required to care for critically ill patients within the Intensive Care Unit.
In this role, you will work as an active part of a health care team that shows leadership and embraces change in the coordination and delivery of care in a modern and well-equipped ICU.
Multiple temporary positions of 64 hours per fortnight are available with offers on ongoing employment following the successful completion of the Graduate Certificate.
The Program 12 months: 64 hrs per fortnight, temporary part time (commencing June 2025)In Collaboration with Deakin UniversityCompetencies and hurdles assessed onsite by Clinical Educator.
