About the role
This position is responsible for providing high quality, intensive and effective case work for vulnerable children, young people and their families living in the Western Metropolitan Region and referred by The Orange Door.
This position is situated within Family Services, which forms part of the Community Programs Division within MacKillop. Family Services provides a range of family support services and parenting education services. It operates from two primary sites in Footscray and Melton. This position is part of the IFS Team at Melton.
This is a Fixed Term Part-Time (0.8 EFT until July 22nd, 2025) opportunity based in Melton, VIC within our Family and Community Services Program. The position reports to the Coordinator, Integrated Family Services Melton.
Key Selection Criteria:
* Social Work or other relevant bachelor or higher-level tertiary qualification
* High level casework and case management skills, counselling skills, and experience working with complex and culturally diverse families.
* Well-developed knowledge of child development and the issues that vulnerable children, young people and families face.
* Sound knowledge of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and policies relating to Child Welfare, Family Services and Child Protection Services.

You must have a:
* Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
* Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
* Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
