We are now excited to invite applications for the role of Senior Account Manager with our Public Relations team in Sydney (Melbourne, Canberra or Brisbane are also options!).
This opportunity sits in our Govt and NFP team, specialising delivering high profile behaviour change campaigns that drive meaningful impact in the communities in which we live.
With a diverse set of national and state high-profile clients, we work closely with state and the federal governments across a range of portfolios including social services, health, cyber security, aged care, defence and foreign affairs.
The role:
As the Account Manager (AM), you will be responsible for independently managing the implementation of ongoing pre-agreed activity involved in the basic day-to-day running of accounts within Dentsu Creative Public Relation’s Government and NFP pillar.
Core responsibilities:
1. Works closely with managers and team leadership to help plan and execute comprehensive behaviour change strategies.
2. Assists in developing and executing comprehensive public relations and communications programmes.
3. Builds strong client relationships, leading regular client communication and WIPs to provide insights and strategic solutions for our clients.
4. Monitors media coverage
5. Ability to write across a range of materials including press releases, news stories, articles, case studies and reports.
A bit about you:
6. You should have a good understanding of what makes news, how to develop story angles and be able to confidently develop all forms of communication/PR materials to a high standard. Your written materials should require little editing and you need to be fully conversant with how all forms of media work.
7. You should have the confidence and experience to provide your clients with strategic counsel on day-to-day issues, knowing when to seek input from more senior staff. You should also be capable of identifying, understanding and satisfying your clients’ needs and resolve problems where required.
8. As our next Account Manager, you will ensure tasks are completed effectively, work is carried out to the high standards set, deadlines are met, budgets are properly created and managed, above-average results are achieved and appropriately presented, and clients are happy.
