We have interesting projects across Australia and the South Pacific Islands, and our diverse service offering means our workflow is not affected by industry cycles.Job Description:We are looking for Drilling Crews to operate drilling equipment and perform drilling operations for our diverse range of projects across Australia and Overseas. As a team member at Rockwell Drilling, you will play a vital role in executing drilling programs efficiently and safely. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure accurate data collection and contribute to the success of our clients' projects.Responsibilities:Adhering to safety guidelines and industry best practices.Operate and maintain drilling equipment, top head rotary drives.Execute drilling operations according to project requirements, such as auger, air & mud rotary, diamond coring, collating samples (Chip, Core, SPT, Shelby Tubes) for the purpose of exploration and engineering.Collaborate with project managers, geologists, and geotechs to plan drilling activities, ensuring efficient execution and adherence to project timelines.Perform pre-drilling preparations, including equipment setup, site inspection, and implementation of safety measures.Conduct routine inspections of drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Monitor drilling operations, evaluate drilling progress, and make adjustments as necessary to achieve desired results.Accurately record drilling parameters, site conditions, and sample information in logs and reports.Adhere to environmental regulations and company policies to minimize the impact of drilling operations.Promote and maintain a culture of safety and positivity while following established safety protocols and guidelines at all times.Candidate Requirements:Field experience ideally in the geotechnical or exploration industry.Experience with various drilling methods and techniques, such as auger, diamond coring, rotary drilling, and percussion/DTH hammer drilling. Deep hole and inclined geotechnical drilling experience is advantageous.Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on drilling equipment in the field.Understanding of drilling procedures, safety protocols, and industry regulations.Physical fitness and the ability to work in demanding outdoor conditions.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.MR/HR License.This is a fast-paced role that requires hard work, long days, and occasional work away from home. It is not a role for the frail, fragile, or faint-hearted or people that require regular days off.
