Promech maintains long-term service agreements with Tier 1 operators across the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Water & Wastewater, Minerals Processing, and New Energy sectors.
Due to increased demand for their services, we are seeking an Electrical, Instrumentation & Control (EI&C) Engineer to join their Brisbane team.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Principal EI&C Engineer, you will work within a multidisciplinary engineering team, contributing to small- and large-scale projects across Australia and abroad.
Key Responsibilities:
* Complete detailed engineering design to implement or improve EI&C systems and installations.
* Perform technical calculations to ensure compliance with Australian & International Standards.
* Develop and supervise detailed EI&C design drawings to an Issued for Construction (IFC) level.
* Produce and review engineering reports, calculations, and technical specifications for equipment, instrumentation, materials, hardware, and software.
* Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and designers.
* Assist in project scoping, including defining scope, sequencing tasks, and estimating costs, time, and resources.
* Maintain high-quality project outputs in line with company Quality Management Systems (QMS) .
* Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and colleagues, both on-site and in-office.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
* Minimum 3+ years’ engineering design experience in Water, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industries.
* Proven track record in EI&C system design from concept to commissioning.
* Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and construction teams .
* Knowledge of construction methods and ability to collaborate on design & construction projects.
* Familiarity with Australian & International Standards, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, AS/NZS 60079 series, and others.
* Capability to evaluate work practices, implement systems, and suggest process improvements.
