In this exciting position, you’ll drive innovation and excellence in asset management. You will develop and maintain asset management strategies, plans, policies, and procedures, including implementing predictive maintenance and enhanced data-driven analytics initiatives. Assessing asset risk profiles and developing mitigation plans and business cases for distribution assets. Your focus will be on meeting network compliance and regulatory obligations, such as ESV and ESC obligations. This is an opportunity to influence asset management and planning processes. You will have the opportunity to provide strategic leadership and oversight in the management and development of bushfire mitigation plans, environmental, and safety obligations, reliability and resilience initiatives while offering strategic advice, guidance, and contingency planning to the business.You will set asset management plans that consider the year ahead, the 5-year plan, and the ten-year and twenty-year horizons.This role: Lead a team of technical experts developing Asset Management strategies and managing risk levels for stations and distribution lines.Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimise safety, resilience, reliability and availability of network assets.Your position reports to the Senior Manager, Asset Management (Distribution) and is located at Southbank, Victoria.What you will deliverDevelopment and approval of capex and opex works programs for Lines, primary plant, protection, control and automation from year to year.5 – 10- and 20-year Asset Management plansPursue innovation and development of strategic alternatives to improve performance and resilience of the Asset.Continually stay in front of existing and emerging risks.Develop and refresh Asset standards and policies.Provide Technical and operational support when required.What we like about youExperience in leading a team of technical experts.Extensive experience (10+ years) in Technical / Engineering roles in utilities industry with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in asset management and/or operational management experience.Demonstrated commitment to safety outcomes.Understanding of Asset Management leading practices, frameworks and relevant standards.Understanding of relevant Regulatory frameworks and legislation.Understanding of relevant Australian and International standards and industry codes of practice.Ability to connect with organisational strategy and identify what is required at a strategic level to achieve it.Analytical skills and the ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimise asset performance.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.An advanced level of reasoning skills and engineering judgement.A proven ability to anticipate, developing scenarios to imagine various futures and prepare for the unexpected.Confidence to challenge the status quo, focusing on the root causes of a problem rather than the symptoms.Inclusion and DiversityWe are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, one that fosters belonging, where every idea leads to innovation, so we celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team.
