Base salary will be in the range $74,534.32 - $79,026.19 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 4)

About This Opportunity We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Event Sales Assistant to support the seamless coordination of events at UQ Brisbane City. This role involves a wide range of administrative and event management tasks, including planning meetings and small events, processing financial transactions, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily procedures, logistics, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional service.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate committee/meeting/engagement activities, including booking rooms, scheduling meetings, drafting relevant documentation and liaison with attendees.
Working under general supervision, provides high level administrative support to staff.
Organises and supports routine events/meetings/activities.
Facilitates efficient functioning of the office's day to day procedures and operations, in accordance with administrative protocols and standards.
Liaises with internal and/or external clients and stakeholders, including answering routine queries, conducting site inspections, and providing advice as relevant to the role.
Assist with coordinating and delivery of events and functions, providing end-to-end event administration and logistics support including the creation of event orders and floor plans, attend weekly events meetings.
Applies a range of desktop-based programs and/or management information systems and maintains administration Quality Assurance systems and processes.

About You Certificate IV or Diploma with relevant work experience; Certificate III with extensive relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated skills in providing a high level of customer service, including effective interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Effective organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia.
