Mental Health Clinician or Clinical Lead – headspace Griffith
Our headspace team are experienced health professionals all passionate about improving the mental health and well-being of young people, their families, and friends in our community – And they are looking for new team members.
We currently have available a position for a Clinician in our Griffith office, we are seeking someone who shares the same vision and passion to support us to continue performing at peak productivity and continue delivering quality support and services to our clients and staff.
About the Role:
The Clinician is responsible for delivering focused psychological strategies to clients who engage in our service. This involves conducting initial assessments, developing case formulations and treatment plans, engaging clients in therapeutic interventions and liaison with other people involved in clients’ care such as family members, carers, other community organisations, and medical professionals.
Criteria:
* Hold tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Mental Health Nursing.
* Full registration and membership with professional bodies Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated understanding of and competence in the provision of good clinical care to young people with mental health problems including assessing and managing risk for young people presenting with a broad range of issues.
* Demonstrated experience delivering family inclusive practice and integrated care with the ability to apply these to a variety of contexts.
* Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills with a proven ability to participate in a collaborative and supportive manner, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Inclusive practice with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, Cultural Linguistically Diverse clients, young people with disabilities and young people who identify as LGBTQIA+.
* Highly developed relationship building and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
