Full time, 12-months fixed term opportunity Provide the first point of contact for media enquiries at the University of Sydney Base Salary $99K 17% superannuation About the opportunity The Assistant Media and PR Adviser (Central) reports to the Head, Central Media and PR and will work in close collaboration with media and public relations staff across the University to ensure alignment and coordination of media activity. In this busy role, supporting the central media team as the first point of contact for media enquiries at the University, you will also carry out regular media monitoring and compile and distribute media monitoring reports, manage the rostering for out of hours media enquiries and be responsible for providing administrative support to the broader team. About you has demonstrated ‘news judgement’ and can apply this knowledge in managing and directing media enquiries with the appropriate level of urgency will assist the Media and PR Advisers to identify, develop, write and promote stories and cross-channel content about University-wide initiatives, University-wide centres and University public programs has good experience in and understanding of media operations has experience providing media advice and public relations support to senior stakeholders.
