Join the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business in the Data and Digital Government Division, to play an essential role in the design and implementation of the rostering capability for the Rostering, Time and Attendance (RTA) Project. This role will be pivotal in shaping solutions that are userfocused, compliant, and streamline operations across multiple frontline Government agencies
.
Some of the key responsibilities of the Rostering Functional Lead will include:
• Providing detailed domain knowledge and insights that inform the development process.
• Facilitating stakeholder engagement sessions to design the product, ensuring the product aligns with industry standards, regulations and best practices.
• Leading collaborations with vendors, product owners, stakeholders, business analysts and other team members to understand and analyse functional requirements, translating business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Participating actively in validation and verification activities to ensure that the delivered product meets the defined functional requirements and quality standards.
• Advocating for the end-users, ensuring their needs and challenges are accurately represented and addressed in the product.
• Identifying potential risks and dependencies related to functional requirements and
work collaboratively with the team to mitigate them.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of functional requirements and any relevant domain knowledge, ensuring that documentation is easily accessible and comprehensible to all team members.
We think you'll thrive in this role with the following skills and experience:
• Proficiency in workforce management systems, with particular emphasis on Global Rostering Solution by TotalMobile, as well as familiarity with other similar platforms such as Kronos Workforce Central, Deputy, and Workday, is highly regarded.
• High proficiency to develop high quality system specifications, configuration documentation and testing scenarios.
• High level knowledge of the modern integration capabilities (i.e. API, data, middleware, integration platform as a service, enterprise service bus, B2b, IoT, mobile app etc.).
• Experience working in a complex project environment and strong understanding of project management methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and collaborate cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
• Taking personal responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing work, showing initiative and proactively stepping in to do what is required.
• Confidently present in a clear, concise, and articulate manner, focusing on key points using appropriate, unambiguous language.
