As GenesisCare NSW continues to grow, we have a great opportunity for a Medical Physics Specialist to join our team in Darlinghurst.
As a Medical Physics Specialist, you will be responsible for the provision of clinical physics and QA services that ensure a safe and effective radiotherapy service for our patients. Your primary areas of responsibility and activity will be agreed in consultation with the Chief Physicist. We would like you to utilise your existing strengths and take the opportunities we can offer to grow your expertise and experience.
Gain experience on our GenesisCare NSW technology platform including: VERSA HD, Truebeam and Edge with advanced imaging package, Halcyon, GammaKnife, Unity MR-Linac, Align RT, ExacTrac Dynamic, GE CT simulators, Siemens CT simulators, Siemens Biograph PETCT, distributed Monaco and Eclipse TPS and MIM Software for contouring and image registration.
You will become an integral part of our highly engaged team of medical physicists working towards service improvements in clinical operations across our NSW sites, and in partnership with our national colleagues.
More specifically, you will:
1. Be Responsible for the safety and quality of clinical/non-clinical medical radiation equipment.
2. Provide specialist advice in the technical and scientific aspects of radiotherapy delivery and treatment planning.
3. Independently perform highly accurate routine and non-routine dosimetry and geometric quality assurance measurements.
4. Collect, process and analyse radiation beam data from radiotherapy equipment for entry into treatment planning systems.
We’re looking for someone who has:
5. Certified in Radiation Oncology Medical Physics (ACPSEM, IPEM, HCPC, ABR, ABMP, CCPM, IMPCB).
6. ACPSEM Certification and/or Registration is preferred, however, TEAP Registrars who are approaching their prac/oral exams are welcome to apply.
7. A clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills

9. You have a problem-solving, solution-focused, pro-active mindset.
10. You are a strong advocate for positive team culture.
11. You’re motivated to share knowledge and to achieve team-driven project outcomes.
12. Demonstrated activity in training, research, and supervision of physics trainees will be highly regarded.
