City of Newcastle (CN) is seeking an Exhibitions Development Officer - First Nations to join our Exhibitions and Cultural Collections team within the Museum Archive Libraries & Learning (MALL) service unit in this temporary, part time opportunity, working 28 hours per week Monday to Thursday until September 2025.
As our Exhibitions Development Officer - First Nations, you will work extensively with all Exhibition Developers as well has the Curatorial, Archives and Cultural Collection Management leads to deliver engaging, innovative, high-quality and cost-effective exhibitions to tell Newcastle's stories or to provide travelling exhibitions that are of cultural benefit to the Newcastle community.
You will provide administration services to support exhibition planning timelines, purchasing, systems, creative narratives, adaptive design and installation across MALL's network of exhibition spaces and sites.
With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will also support the Exhibition Team with external stakeholder and community relationships for both Newcastle Museum and Newcastle Libraries including logistics, design, narrative development, complex and sensitive subject matter.
