Mrs Mac’s and Balfours are Australian household names in pies, sausage rolls, pasties and sweet bakery products. Manufactured at our facilities in Perth & Adelaide, our products are found all over Australia & New Zealand.
Since Aus Pie Co purchased the brands in 2022, we have made significant investment in relaunching the brands, through updating brand logos, packaging & product innovation to ensure our consumers have a positive experience every time.
We are looking for a Category Manager to drive the growth of our iconic Australian brand portfolio: Mrs Mac's, Balfours, and Cockle Bay, working with our Sales & Marketing team in Rhodes, NSW.
About the role:
As our Category Manager, you will play a key role in driving our business strategy by analysing market trends and data to support innovation, pricing, and channel strategies. Acting as an independent voice, you will provide the strategic rationale behind key decisions, enabling the business to position and negotiate effectively.
This role involves aligning with customers' strategic initiatives and translating insights into actionable plans that support business objectives. You will ensure the business maintains a close perspective on the categories and channels in which we participate and support our competitive edge to drive our sales.

Our ideal candidate will also have the following:
1. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a category management role within FMCG. (Food & beverage preferred.)
2. Proven expertise in developing pack and pricing strategies that drive sustainable growth.
3. Strong strategic planning and thinking, with experience in multi-channel planning.
4. Excellent analytical skills and commercial acumen, ability to translate data into actionable insights.
5. Proficient in data analytics tools, including PowerBI, IRi/Circana, Quantium, and Excel.
6. Effective communicator with strong planning skills, comfortable working cross-functionally.
7. Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
8. Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
9. Strong work ethic with a positive, results-driven attitude.
10. Ability to complete occasional work beyond standard business hours and travel as necessary.
