APG Workforce is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor within a local Council, located in Picton.The Role: Temporary part-time contracts2 days per week, 14 hours for up to a six-month period$55-$65 per hour - dependent on skills/experienceThis position involves working closely with a team of Building Surveyors to carry out building inspections in accordance with Council's policies and relevant legislative frameworks related to Building Surveying, Building Certification, and Planning matters.Key Responsibilities: Undertake assessments for local approval applications, simple development applications, complying development certificates, and construction certificates.Conduct mandatory and other building inspections.Investigate and address complaints and customer requests in line with legislation.Support Council's regulatory actions concerning building, environmental health, and public health.Offer accurate advice and guidance on planning matters to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.Deliver clear and consistent information to internal and external customers.Provide building certification services and ensure compliance with relevant codes and policies.Key Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health and Building, Building Surveying or a related field.Accreditation with NSW Fair Trading at a registration level of Building Surveyor – restricted (class 1 and 10 buildings).Strong knowledge and experience in Building Control and development assessment.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.Proficiency in problem analysis and dispute resolution.Effective time management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.Strong public relations and customer service skills.Class C Drivers Licence.Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.If you're an experienced Building Surveyor with the skills to thrive in this dynamic role, we encourage you to apply today! #J-18808-Ljbffr
