About the OpportunitySouthern Cross University is seeking a Team Leader, Library Experience in Library Services who will be responsible for activities that contribute to student success, including the delivery of high quality in-person and online information services. The appointee supports the management of campus library spaces and digital information services, and oversees client access to library collections via lending, document delivery and unit reading lists. This is a senior leader position involved in overall analysis, planning, and management of Library Services, working with stakeholders across the University. Your core responsibilities will include:Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team, fostering a culture of performance excellence, client service, continuous improvement, and learning. Experience in managing performance outcomes for staff, particularly in a library or academic services setting.Demonstrated experience in cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, colleagues, and clients. Ability to align library services with University strategic initiatives and collaborate on evidence-based approaches to improve service delivery.Strong background in coordinating and managing day-to-day operations of client-facing services across various channels (physical and virtual). Proven ability to develop and implement effective strategies to ensure services are scalable, sustainable, and meet student success and learning needs.Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex disputes or challenges related to client-facing services, ensuring effective service delivery and client satisfaction.In-depth knowledge of emerging trends in educational technologies, digital literacy, scholarly publishing, and communication. Ability to stay up to date with relevant changes and adapt strategies to ensure the library’s services remain innovative and responsive to evolving needs.About YouYou will be a strategic leader capable of prioritising competing tasks and services, who is passionate about education support to both students and faculty, including studies and research activities. More specifically, you will have:Hold a degree-level qualification with proven experience in a university or research library setting, or a combination of relevant knowledge, training, and hands-on experience.Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams effectively, driving excellence in service delivery and fostering a positive, results-driven environment, particularly in times of change.Proven organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement and managing complex projects to successful outcomes.In-depth understanding of existing and emerging library trends, practices, and technologies, with a focus on supporting research, teaching, and learning in a higher education context. The base salary ranges from $104,697 - $113,681 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation.
