About the Role...
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture and as an integral member of a supportive and collegiate national P&C Team, you will be responsible for leading, coaching and developing a dedicated and high performing P&C team, with up to 7 direct reports, including experienced P&C Business Partners.
In this newly created role, due to continued national growth of the firm, as a strong and capable 2IC to the Head of People & Culture, you will be involved in employee engagement and overall employee experience across the employee lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Understanding the firm's vision, strategy, business operations, and the legal industry to develop HR initiatives that drive ongoing improvement and create a competitive advantage.
Leading, managing, and developing members of the P&C team, ensuring alignment with the firm's values and objectives.
Developing and implementing HR plans to support the strategic objectives and operational needs of the firm.
Ensuring delivery and service excellence in all HR administrative systems, processes, communication, and reporting.
Monitoring and responding to legislative changes and ensuring legal compliance.
Developing and maintaining guidelines and HR policies.
Providing advice, coaching, feedback, and support to Partners, Managers, and employees.
Please note this role will require some interstate travel.
The ideal candidate will have... 10+ years HRM experience and proven ability in HR function with line management responsibilities.
Experience in a legal or other professional services firm (eg.
accounting or engineering) is essential.
Appropriate tertiary and/ or post-graduate qualifications in human resources, commerce, law or related areas.
Demonstrated ability, knowledge and expertise in managing the full human resources spectrum.
Ability to manage a varied and complex workload in a timely manner.
Deep understanding of employee engagement, talent management, and leadership development.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to drive cultural and organisational change.
