The successful applicant will manage the organisation's transport operations, with strong people management and communication skills with safety being of the highest importance. You will develop good customer relationships by providing excellent service that offers practicable solutions to customer requirements or concerns.This role will suit someone with a strong background in the transport industry, looking to take their career to the next step in a professional and supportive environment.The RoleUtilizing your strong Transport and staff management experience, you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of our workshop, road operations and administration teams in Merbein.Basic responsibilitiesDaily management of the site's Workshop & Road OperationsManagement of container hardstand and reach stacker operationsPlanning and scheduling workloadsOversee & manage daily freight operationsEffective management of staff & subcontractorsSite supervision & equipment managementEnsure compliance requirements are met across all activitiesCustomer relationship managementIdentify and act on business development opportunitiesOH&S Adherence – including but not limited to ensuring Chain of Responsibility & Mass Management requirements are metSuccess Criteria:Minimum 5 years road transport management experience3+ years’ experience staff managementGood understanding of Customs & Quarantine guidelinesMass management knowledgeStrong understanding of OHS legislationCurrent Drivers LicenceVery strong attention to detailFlexible attitude towards working hoursApplicationsSimply upload your resume & cover letter.
