Following recent acquisitions, they continue to expand and seek passionate professionals to join them on their journey towards a sustainable energy future.Role Overview:Looking for an experienced Engineering & Grid Manager, APAC to lead and manage the engineering activities for their renewable energy projects in the Asia-Pacific region. This is a high-impact role where you will be responsible for overseeing a multidisciplinary team of engineers, managing project timelines from design to operation, and ensuring the successful delivery of renewable energy projects. You will collaborate closely with their global engineering teams and work with external stakeholders to foster strong relationships and ensure regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage a diverse engineering team across the APAC region, including Civil, Electrical, Grid, and GIS specialists.Set team goals, manage resources, and prioritize tasks to meet both organizational and project objectives.Collaborate with global engineering teams to share knowledge, best practices, and align efforts with corporate goals.Provide engineering support during all phases of project development, from design through to commissioning and operation.Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, contractors, government bodies, and utilities.Oversee technical studies, designs, and reports (e.g., grid studies, load flow analysis, substation layouts) for project development and due diligence.Ensure compliance with local grid codes, engineering standards, and national regulations.Foster continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing within the regional and global engineering teams.Promote and ensure engineering quality through audits, design reviews, and adherence to safety standards.Qualifications & Experience:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BEng, BSc, or equivalent).Experience: At least 10 years in energy generation engineering, with a minimum of 5 years managing engineering or technical teams.Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with wind turbine generators (WTG), solar PV projects, and national/international engineering standards.Certifications: Registration with or ability to apply for accreditation from professional engineering bodies such as the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore.Skills: Expertise in grid connection design, SCADA systems, and operational technology.Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, PSSE, PowerFactory, GIS tools (QGIS/ArcGIS), and Microsoft Office.Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.Fluency in English (both written and spoken).Preferred Experience:Preferred Experience:Master’s degree in renewable energy, environmental sciences, or a related field.Experience working with EPC contractors or consultants in the renewable industry.Knowledge of wind, solar, substation, and transmission design and construction.Experience with geophysical risk analysis and complex terrain design.Familiarity with grid utility connections, protection systems, and national transmission and distribution grid codes.Why You Should Apply:Career Growth: Access to career advancement opportunities, training, and relocation programs.Competitive Compensation: Attractive salary, bonus schemes, and share options.Work-Life Balance: Hybrid working arrangements for a flexible work-life balance.Diversity & Inclusion: We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace with equal opportunities for all.Health & Wellbeing: Comprehensive health insurance and employee allowances.Join a reputable company and help shape the future of energy!
