Job Title: Council Gardener
The council in the Eastern part of Sydney is looking for a passionate and skilled gardener to join their team. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for the upkeep and development of parks, gardens, and public spaces. Your role will involve a variety of horticultural tasks to ensure our green spaces are vibrant, healthy, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Planting, pruning, and maintaining trees, shrubs, and flowers.
Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and weeding flower beds.
Applying fertilisers, pesticides, and other treatments to plants.
Operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment.
Ensuring public spaces are clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.
Requirements :
A Certificate in Horticulture is preferred.
Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or a related field is essential.
Knowledge of plant ID, gardening techniques, and landscape maintenance.
Ability to operate gardening tools and machinery safely.
Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful green spaces.
