We aim to enhance patient experience through improved service access, developing partnerships, meeting growth in demand, implementing innovative service models and ensuring workforce flexibility.About the role: The Specialist in Respiratory / Sleep Medicine will be expected to take part in the rostered clinical care of inpatients and also conduct outpatient clinics and the outpatient respiratory function testing service. The successful candidate will participate in the Medical Unit inpatient roster which includes providing ward rounds, on-call service, bronchoscopy roster, and other interventional procedures as indicated for clinical care. We are in the process of developing the model of care for our onsite Respiratory Function Laboratory testing service and this role will be pivotal in the way forward to bring on this vital service for patients in the region. This is an exciting role that will suit a specialist who is looking for an exciting opportunity to build the future respiratory service for patients.We are looking for: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as Medical PractitionerFellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians with full accreditation in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine with the Specialist Training Committee of the RACPEnrolment and maintenance of ongoing CPD programThe appointee will be required to undergo a credentialing process and will be granted appropriate scope of clinical practice. There is a system of review and renewal of credentials and privileges for specialists on staff.
