About the role:
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of a thriving city, ensuring social, cultural, environmental, and economic outcomes for the community. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and high performance within the organisation.
What you will do:
1. Engage the organisation in setting long-term vision and strategic direction
2. Lead the development and application of contemporary PMO and Corporate Governance principles
3. Utilise data analysis and performance metrics to deliver public good and support continuous improvement
4. Support the Elected Body to govern well and make good decisions for current and future generations
5. Ensure that Council's Strategic Management Framework is integrated and well understood by the organisation
6. Establish positive relationships with the Elected Body and Audit & Risk Committee
As the Manager of Strategy and Performance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the City of Port Adelaide Enfield. You will lead your team in delivering strategic planning, service reviews, risk management, governance, and data-led insights. Your ability to establish positive relationships with key stakeholders will ensure transparent decision-making processes that align with the city's vision. Your leadership will foster a culture that values innovation, accountability, and high performance.
What you will bring:
1. Degree or post-graduate studies in business management, law/public policy or related fields (or equivalent experience)
2. Significant experience as a senior leader within a large, complex organisation
3. Experience in leading strategy development in a multi-faceted organisation
4. Proven experience in developing strong partnerships across a diverse organisation
5. Demonstrated expertise in positively leading corporate governance processes
6. Significant experience in managing a diverse portfolio of functions with competing priorities
7. Exceptional leadership qualities and a passion for delivering for the community
As the ideal candidate for the Manager of Strategy and Performance role, you bring significant leadership experience from within large, complex organisations. You will be an inspiring & authentic leader who builds constructive relationships with people at all levels across the organisation. Your background in business management or law/public policy equips you with the skills necessary to lead strategy development across multiple facets of the organisation. Your proven ability to develop strong partnerships will be crucial in fostering an organisational culture that values innovation and continuous improvement. Your expertise in corporate governance will ensure transparency and integrity within all levels of our operations.
A total remuneration package of $201,509 will be offered to the successful candidate.
