Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$110,000.00/yr - A$120,000.00/yrAbout the role:We are seeking an experienced and motivated Vehicle Operations Manager who is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager – Vehicle Operations in achieving business objectives related to importing, storing, and distributing new Mazda vehicles in Australia.The role oversees daily operations externally at the port, including vehicle processing, storage, and transportation to Mazda dealers using third-party logistics (3PL) providers. Additionally, the role involves managing and training the Vehicle Operations team.This position requires a full-time, in-office presence five days a week, fostering a collaborative work environment and promoting effective teamwork. Occasional after-hours work may be required to support 24/7 vehicle deliveries.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations related to vehicle arrivals at the port, processing, storage, and transportation to the Mazda dealer network through third-party logistics (3PL).Manage relationships with 3PLs, external suppliers, contractors, government agencies, port authorities, state office staff, and dealers to ensure efficient delivery of new vehicles.Monitor departmental performance against targets and objectives, including DoW performance, and identify opportunities to support long-term supply chain goals.Develop and maintain a Continuous Improvement Program for vehicle operations activities.Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility, internal and 3PL audits, and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.Collaborate with the Sales Team to allocate vehicles for new models and other programs.Manage, train, and provide guidance to direct reports within the Vehicle Operations team.Support 24/7 vehicle deliveries, with occasional after-hours activities as required, which can be performed remotely.About you:Degree qualification in Business or Supply Chain & Logistics.Strong background in vehicle operations and supply chain management.Skilled at building relationships with transport providers, shipping lines, and logistics partners to ensure smooth vehicle deliveries.Focused on quality, safety, and efficiency in vehicle transport and storage.Proactive in improving processes and reducing operational disruptions.Clear communicator, fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Experienced leader, driving high team performance and alignment with business goals.Committed to compliance with industry standards and regulations.Financially savvy, identifying cost-saving opportunities and boosting productivity.Dedicated to delivering safe, damage-free vehicles to Mazda dealers and customers.About Mazda Australia:Welcome to Mazda Australia, where innovation and passion converge to redefine the automotive experience.
