About the Opportunity Our EnergyCo NSW Planning and Communities team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Program Coordinator to co-ordinate consultation, engagement and implementation of programs and initiatives that deliver First Nations outcomes under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2021, specifically to promote employment, training and income generating opportunities for First Nations communities in Renewable Energy Zones (REZ).
The role works closely with First Nations communities, Local Aboriginal Land Councils, renewable energy industry, local government and other stakeholders to achieve program and project outcomes.
This is a targeted role under GSE Rule 26 and Aboriginal people are encouraged to apply.
About You To be successful in the role you will have experience in delivering programs or policy development for First Nations Communities. You are self-motivated and have a genuine interest and experience in designing, monitoring and continuously improving First Nations programs and initiatives for communities with varying needs, understanding, social economic demographics to achieve positive and lasting outcomes for employment, training and income generation.
You will have the demonstrated ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective and culturally appropriate communication, timely advice, negotiation and issues management despite often competing views and agenda, to foster participation, leverage expertise and achieve policy objectives and desired program outcomes.

The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government's Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state's electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State's first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
