ICT Hardware / Asset Manager
* 12 months with 2x12 months options to extend
* Location – ACT, flexible working arrangement can be discussed
* Australian Citizens with current NV1 clearance
Infinite Consulting is seeking an ICT Hardware / Asset Manager for our esteemed Large Federal Government Client. This is a long term contract with 12 months initial term and 2x12 months options to extend, based on funding and approval.
About the role:
In this role, you will assist in ensuring efficient and effective management of information technology assets. The role involves acquisition, deployment, utilisation, and disposal of IT assets to support the department's financial requirements and operational objectives.
The responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:
* Identifying and facilitating the evaluation of IT assets and equipment.
* Developing and maintaining an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals.
* Having a deep technical understanding of IT assets and interoperability between devices.
* Implementing strategies for the lifecycle management of IT assets, including tracking warranties, licenses, and maintenance contracts to ensure timely renewals and replacements.
* Identifying and mitigating risks associated with IT asset management, including potential security vulnerabilities, operational disruptions, and financial implications.
* Preparing regular reports and analysis on IT asset inventory, utilisation, costs, and compliance for management review and decision-making.
Essential criteria
* Experience in IT Asset Management, and procurement;
* A knowledge and understanding of Whole of Australian Government vendors relating to the provision of ICT hardware;
* Effective communications skills; and
* Certification in IT Asset Manager (e.g., ITIL).
