The Role NextSense is seeking an experienced and dynamic true HR Generalist with a solid track record providing best practice HR partnering and industrial relations advice. Providing a proactive, efficient, results oriented end to end human resources (HR) service to the organisation, the HR service model operates with the end user in mind driving a quality employee experience. This role will primarily be dedicated to providing strategic advice and support on people initiatives within their dedicated client group and delivery of organisation-wide and business-specific people outcomes aimed at building the capability of people managers to support overall positive workforce engagement and culture. The People & Culture team have been key drivers of transformational change with the support of executive leadership. In 2025 there are various key projects including a strong focus on evolving our ways of working towards a network model, cultural transformation initiatives to attract and retain the best staff, in addition to entering re-negotiation of our Enterprise Agreement. Our People and Culture vision critically aligns with the organisational business strategy to organise, mobilise, optimise and develop the workforce to succeed, perform and evolve. This position is a permanent, full-time position and is based at our new offices at Macquarie University. About You The Business Partner, People & Culture will provide a strategic and people first approach to supporting managers through the alignment of HR initiatives with organisational objectives. Key role responsibilities include: Truly business partnering with our subject matter experts to support their operational goals, and to drive the effective delivery of people strategies Coach and develop our leaders to build their capability and confidence in a way that aligns with best practice Providing guidance and advice to management and leadership based on in depth understanding of the area you are supporting and the broader business strategy Providing operational support throughout the entire employee life cycle, utilising a data driven approach Be a champion of engagement and improving overall employee experience Effectively manage IR/ER matters as required Ensuring consistent communication and delivery of P&C strategic and operational initiatives across the organisation Lead change management processes and programs Engaging in project work on a range of people & culture issues Maintaining productive working relationships with key stakeholders Our Purpose and Ambition NextSense is a not-for-profit organisation supporting people with vision or hearing loss across Australia.
