The Conferencing and Events Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the overall Conference and Events (C&E) operations within the Hotel. This role involves setting and maintaining standard operating procedures, managing hotel performance and pipeline, and collaborating with various departments to drive sales and optimise event planning processes. Your day to day - C&E Operation Management: - Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for C&E operations. - Proactively implement and maintain the C&E IHG toolkit, ensuring up to date planning, procedures, and systems, including Delphi, USPs. Objection Bank, CVENT, Meeting Broker and others. - Oversee the Hotel's performance in alignment with IHG's C&E Insights. - Pipeline and Performance Management: - Manage and monitor the Hotel's pipeline and allocate the C&E inbox effectively. - Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing with strategic input and the development of the C&E sales planning calendar. - Contribute to key account management and pricing strategies. - Sales and Quoting - Implement tactical offers and promotions in collaboration with the Director of Sales and Marketing. - Handle end-to-end quoting and client follow-ups for RFPs, including updating leads in Delphi. - Client and Account Management - Proactively manage and liaise with key accounts and hotel clients. - Attend C&E functions and familiarisation trips as required. - Operational Liaison - Collaborate with key Precinct stakeholders to optimise relationships and operating standards. - Maintain effective communication with the Hotel's operations department. What we need from you - Proven experience in Sales and Events Management role within the hospitality industry. - Strong knowledge of C&E procedures, systems (e.g., Delphi, CVENT) and standard operating practices. - Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and relevant sales and event management software. - Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field preferred. - This is a Hotel-based full time position.
