About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to assist with the delivery, storage, and stock management of groceries and food supplies for our aged care facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all food items are stored according to health and safety standards, maintaining proper temperature and hygiene.
* Stock shelves with food items, including fresh produce, dry goods, and refrigerated items, ensuring easy access and organization.
* Evaluate grocery orders for accuracy and ensure timely delivery, coordinating with suppliers as needed.
* Maintain inventory levels, manage stock, and report any shortages or excess inventory to management.
* Promote cleanliness and organization in storage areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with the kitchen and care team to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of residents.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Previous experience in grocery retail, food handling, or a similar environment is preferred.
* A thorough understanding of food safety practices, including safe storage, handling, and preparation of food.
* Ability to track and manage stock levels, perform stocktaking, and handle inventory-related tasks.
* Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and suppliers.
* Attention to detail to organize and ensure products are stored correctly, accurately record inventory, and monitor expiry dates.
Additional Requirements
The following certifications and requirements are also necessary for the role:
* A current Police Record Check and NDIS worker screen application/NDIS clearance.
