We are looking for a HSE Manager to provide regional support to our warehouses and offices within our Global Forwarding Sites across New South Wales, Victoria and New Zealand. With 6 sites in total you will spend the majority of the time in Ingleburn and Mascot in NSW with quarterly visits to New Zealand and Victoria. Are you based in NZ looking to relocate or would you welcome the opportunity to be in NZ for 1 week per quarter. Are you keen to broaden your current remit and can offer solid HSE and customer support experience?
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a multisite remit and showcase your passion and energy for safety and the ease in which you engage your stakeholders to effect change. With HSE Management systems in place your role will be to ensure alignment across your sites and identify and implement improvement initiatives In collaboration with site leaders. You will be conducting regular inspections and risk assessments and will lead investigations into high potential HSE incidents or accidents, supporting the sites to identify root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
The ability to influence and engage is essential in fostering good relationships. This role will require an effective communicator who can provide accurate and timely HSE performance reports to business leaders and liaise effectively with all relevant personnel.
As the Regional HSE Manager for Global Forwarding will:
* Provide direct onsite HSE advice and support to operational sites and prepare and deliver regular HSE meetings and Toolbox Talks.
* Coordinate and deliver training programs to enhance understanding and effectiveness of HSE management systems, risk management practices and safety leadership programs.
* Conduct incident investigations using approved methodologies to effectively identify causal factors and associated improvement actions.
* Develop and review HSE Improvement Plans in partnership with business leaders ensuring alignment with broader Company HSE plans, objectives and targets.
* Monitor compliance with Company and statutory HSE requirements, including participation in regular HSE audits and inspections with operational stakeholders.
* Assist with the preparation and facilitation of HSE review forums and Management of Change processes.
* Provide accurate and timely HSE performance reports to business leaders and customers as required.
To be a success in this role your experience will include:
* Practical experience in a HSE leadership role.
* Experience within Warehouse and Logistics is desirable.
* Experience with supporting multiple sites or a geographically diverse business is desirable
Technical/Professional Skills required:
* Detailed knowledge of HSE legislation and the application of risk management principals.
* Ability to exercise sound judgement in the interpretation and analysis of HSE legislation and audit criteria.
* Excellent communication and relationship skills, including the ability to effectively engage with fellow team members, management stakeholders, workers and customers.
* Excellent written communication skills, including high-level report writing capability.
* Experience in conducting incident investigations using ICAM or similar methodologies.
* Minimum Cert 4 in Occupational Health and Safety.
* Auditing qualifications / training is desirable.
