About the roleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Coordinator to join our team at Perdaman Chemicals & Fertilisers (Operations) Pty Ltd in Karratha WA 6714. This full-time role is integral to the successful delivery of our major construction projects, contributing to the strategic objectives of the company.
What you'll be doing Plan, coordinate, and execute construction projects across various disciplines including structural, mechanical, electrical, water management, bulk earthworks, heavy mobile equipment, and civil works.Provide strong leadership and construction management.Develop and support diverse teams and contracting partners.Collaborate and engage with various stakeholders.Act as the primary point of contact between the infrastructure developer and the construction contractor for all aspects of construction administration.Handle and approve Requests for Information (RFIs) and variations by contractual requirements.Monitor and evaluate the progress of work to ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify that construction activities are in line with the project plans and specifications.Facilitate effective communication between the infrastructure developer, construction contractor, and other stakeholders.Attend and lead project meetings, including progress meetings, coordination meetings, and site inspections.Promote a culture of safety and quality among all project participants.Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure cost control and efficient resource utilization.Communicate effectively to drive positive outcomes with key stakeholders.Oversee and monitor the project at every work phase.Ensure all project stages are completed as per the program.Pre-plan with site management to maintain continuity of work.Liaise with site management to ensure the implementation of company policies and procedures.Monitor quality and ensure contractual obligations are being met.Identify, communicate, and resolve any issues.Monitor the progress of personnel and equipment requirements.Monitor material movement and liaise with site management to confirm quantities.Deliver progress reports to site management and company stakeholders.Ensure the supervision and monitoring of the works performed, subcontracted or in direct hiring.Coordinate human and technical resources, indicating any needs or surpluses.Plan and monitor vendors or any specialists' activities at the site.Coordinate with the Procurement Team the correct set-up of materials procurement flow.What we're looking for A recognized Civil Engineering degree is mandatory.10 to 12 years of experience in civil infrastructure or resource projects is desirable.10 to 12 years of sound knowledge of civil & earthworks construction is mandatory.Understanding of relevant Australian or equivalent international concrete and steel standards is mandatory (Australian standards knowledge is desirable).On-site construction experience across multi-disciplinary projects.A current 'C' class driving license.Experience leading diverse teams and building stakeholder partnerships.Effective problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization skills.The ability to use AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Civil 3D is desirable.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.What we offer At Perdaman Chemicals & Fertilisers, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment where our employees can thrive.
