What you need to be successful in this role:
* Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a property related field
* Extensive proven work experience in undertaking/managing land acquisitions and property matters for local or state government.
* Core practitioner training from the Centre for Property Acquisition
* Expert knowledge of the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991
* Leadership skills including the ability to supervise, develop and motivate staff
About the role
The NSW Public Works (NSWPW) Land Acquisition and Property Services Team specialise in providing acquisition services to state and local government clients. As the Senior Manager, you will lead a dynamic team, overseeing the coordination of acquisition projects essential to significant government projects.
Reporting to the Group Manager of the Survey, Spatial and Property group, you will:
* Lead a professional team of property officers.
* Provide strategic advice regarding land matters and NSW land acquisition processes.
* Prepare and approve fee proposals for various client engagements
* Oversee the Minister for Public Works land portfolio including preparation/reviewing of briefing notes.
* Support the learning and development needs of team members.
