Reporting to the Manager of Control Systems and supporting the lead engineer, you as the Senior Control Systems Engineer will provide specialist advice, oversee manage and deliver reliability and production improvements in either mining or port. The roles will be based in Perth on a Sportsman 12 hr shift roster (2D2N5Off, 2D3N4Off, 3D2N5Off) to support the satellite team. Ideal start date would be December this year. The engineers will be working on breakdown support and improvement tasks, supporting the control team in Perth. You will: Provide control systems support to breakdowns and production critical issuesProject and Contractor Management, Scheduling, Invoicing and Timesheets reportingDevelopment of detailed design statements of work and tenders for Control systemsDesign of process automation control systemsElectrical Schematics, FAT/SAT documents, Maintenance manuals.Estimation for control systemsPerforming control systems auditsProgramming, commissioning of MES, SCADA and PLC based systemsProviding onsite training for products and solutions.About You Demonstrating an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility, and sustainable development and technical regulatory complianceExtensive experience on large scale multidiscipline EPCM projects. Project cycle from engineering design, project delivery to commissioning support.Strong technical skills on process control, field instrumentations, PLC programming, SCADA application development, systems integration, testing and troubleshooting.Proven ability to communicate at all levels using written and verbal techniques.Experience with configuration and programming of applications/platforms including CitectSCADA, OPC servers/platforms, Citrix platforms, Virtual Computing platforms & environments.Experience with configuration, programming and migrating of various PLC Platforms (ALLEN BRADLEY & Schneider), Fieldbus networks (Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, Devicenet etc), Pilz Safety PLC, Variable Speed Drives, analogue and digital actuators and sensorsIron Ore process knowledge and Breakdown support experience would be highly regarded.Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Mechatronic or Control Systems Engineering or Trade qualifications in Electrical or Instrumentation discipline in equivalent industry and/or organisational experience.Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.Functional Safety qualifications (i.e. TUV Certified Engineer) will be highly regarded.Our client is offering an initial 6-month contract with possible long-term extensions, based in their Perth office.
