Are you a forward thinking pharmacy technician, or soon to qualify Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician, seeking the challenge of developing yourself further within your current role, delivering a high quality, effective and efficient patient-focused service?
You will work in the Pharmacy Department, Perth Royal Infirmary as part of the pharmacy technical team. Your key role is to supervise and train staff, prioritise and coordinate the daily workload, manage pharmacy stocks and ensure continuing availability of medicines for NHS Tayside patients. Your role will cover Pharmacy Technician duties and rotations in the pharmacy dispensaries at PRI, stores department and also within clinical areas providing medicines management services.
You will provide support for the pharmacy team to deliver an effective service in line with key performance indicators.
To be considered for this post you must be registered as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or a Pre-registration trainee pharmacy technician due to qualify and register with the GPhC in 2025. Applicants must be willing to train to undertake the final accuracy check of dispensed medicines or already have a recognised accuracy checking qualification.
There will be the opportunity to be supported to complete the post registration Vocational Framework for Pharmacy Technicians for personal and professional development.
Hours of work are up to 37 hours over a 7 day working week, applications from those wishing to work part time will be considered.
