KeySelection Criteria:

1. Deliver authoritative and proactive management for high profile, contentious, complex, and politically sensitive issues at a project specific and State-wide level, which ensures that South Australia maintains an environment conducive to significant minerals industry investment.
2. Deliver high-level, strategic guidance on the complex and critical regulatory requirements of multi-Government assessments.
3. Identify and manage critical key risks for Government and proponents, to drive a ‘minimum risk, minimum time’ objective that protects the State’s interests and commercial imperatives, including advising on sector trends and dynamics, and preparing high-level strategic papers that influence policy direction.
4. Deliver high-level representation of the Department’s and industry’s position on local and national committees and working parties, and provide expert advice to targeted sectors, in order to influence the delivery of a political, economic and social environment that is conducive to mining.
EssentialQualifications:
5. Relevant tertiary qualifications are required (e.g. Business, Engineering, Science, and Project Management).
Remuneration:
ASO8, $117,554 - $121,992 per annum
Full-time role,working 37.5 hours per week
SpecialConditions:
6. This is a contract/term vacancy up to 24 months.
7. Intra, interstate and overseas travel and work outside normal office hours is required.
8. A current driver's licence is desirable.
9. This position is classified as a designated position and as such, appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory National Police Clearance screening check.
