The finance team provides services to four companies; NPA, the marketing and administration company based in Adelaide; Riverland Almonds, the almond processing company based in Loxton; Riverland Almonds Hulling, the almond hulling company based in Lindsay Point; and, Australian Pioneer Pistachio Co, the pistachio processing company based in Robinvale.The Role - What we are looking forAs a key member of the Finance team, the Senior Group Accountant will provide support and be responsible for the preparation, development, and analysis of financial information to allow the organisations to make well informed decisions to ensure future stability, profitability, and growth.The person will look ahead, analyse business performance and advise on how to pre-empt problems and adapt to changing circumstances and developments. Our aim is to have efficient and effective processes for all transactions, so we seek an individual who is keen and committed to continuous improvement.A role with varietyYou will have a wide range of interesting and challenging work, including:Prepare financial reports including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, monthly management accounts, and commentaries.Coordinate the development of annual operating and capital budgets and uploading into finance system.Variation analysis, prepare and input reconciliations for payroll tax, workers compensation and other salary related costs.Prepare and lodge tax returns for Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefits Tax, PAYG, etc.Upload payroll files into banking system.Work with colleagues on the development of financial models to assist with determining whether to purchase equipment, restructure, acquire other businesses, etc.Be a pro-active team member in enhancing and/or replacing computer-based accounting systems.Maintain procedure manuals for all pool related and financial activities.Liaise with operating companies, manage the creation of revenue and net return models for each pool.Calculate and process the payment of grower pool payments, prepare quarterly pool cash flow forecasts.Calculate cash crop valuations and arrange for payments, communicate with growers regarding their crop returns and charges. Assist with grower reports and analyses.Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards and organisational policies, values and procedures.The person we seekDegree qualified Accountant.
