Our client is a specialist in Funds Management, with a strong reputation and a commitment to delivering exceptional value. They are now looking for an Accountant to join the Brisbane based Finance team, to provide support across Fund & Corporate Accounting. The Accountant will play a critical role in the transaction-level accounting and analysis required for monthly unit pricing of managed funds. This position supports the Finance Manager, contributing to financial reporting and ensuring all deliverables are met to a high standard. The role also involves handling accounts payable and receivable within the corporate arm of the business, as well as supporting the month-end reporting process. Key Responsibilities: Fund Accounting & Administration: Prepare invoicing for management and performance fees. Manage payments of Fund creditors and ensure compliance with Custodian instructions. Prepare BAS and GST filings, Net Asset Value statements, and monthly financial reports. Assist in the preparation of investor distributions and statutory reporting obligations. Support audits by providing necessary documentation. Maintain accurate accounting records within MYOB Advanced or other accounting systems. Corporate Accounting: Manage accounts payable and receivable functions. Perform bank reconciliations and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Handle ad-hoc administration tasks as required. Assist with various projects as directed by management. Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting. CPA/CA - commencing studies/working towards - study support available Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of the business. Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities. Experience with MYOB Advanced, Xero, or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
